However, while we introduce BioPVC and 99-100% Recycled PVC cards, we want to reassure our customers that we are not phasing out our current PET Composite cards—offering you the best of both worlds!

BioPVC and 99-100% Recycled PVC: Sustainable Options for Cosplayers and Collectors

Starting in late 2024, EpicIDs will offer two additional environmentally friendly card materials:

• BioPVC: These cards biodegrade within 1 to 5 years in environments like compost or landfills, but with regular use at conventions, parties, or as collectibles, they’ll last for years without degrading prematurely.
• 99-100% Recycled PVC: Made from post-consumer plastic, including material from our Free Recycling Program, these cards provide the same high print quality and durability while helping reduce plastic waste.

Both of these options will be available at no additional cost, so you can choose the sustainable option that suits your needs.

PET Composite Cards: For Those Who Want Extra Durability

While many customers are excited about our new eco-friendly options, we know that some prefer the superior durability of PET Composite cards. These cards are a blend of 60% PVC and 40% PET, offering:

• Increased resistance to heat and wear: Great for long-term use, especially for those who attend multiple conventions or display their cards regularly.
• Enhanced flexibility: PET Composite cards are perfect for collectors who want long-lasting, sturdy cards to show off their favorite characters or fandoms.
• Ideal for harsh conditions: PET cards are less likely to warp in high temperatures, making them perfect for frequent use at outdoor events or when stored in less controlled environments.

While BioPVC and Recycled PVC are fantastic for eco-conscious customers, PET Composite cards will remain available for anyone needing extra durability.

Free Carbon-Neutral Shipping Since 2021

Since 2021, we’ve proudly offered carbon-neutral shipping on all orders, at no extra cost to you. We offset shipping emissions by investing in environmental projects like reforestation, ensuring that every order is as eco-friendly as possible from production to delivery.

Powered by Solar Energy Since 2023

In 2023, we took another major step by transitioning our entire business to run on 100% solar energy. From creating your ID cards to providing customer support, every aspect of our business is powered by clean, renewable energy.

Sustainable Packaging in 2025

Starting in 2025, we’ll be switching to recycled packaging materials. Instead of poly mailers or bubble envelopes, we’ll use recycled cardboard boxes and paper-based fillers, ensuring your entire order—from the ID card to the packaging—is environmentally responsible.

Free Recycling Program: Send Back Your Epic IDs for Reuse

As part of our sustainability commitment, we offer a Free Recycling Program. If you have unwanted or damaged Epic IDs, you can request a prepaid return label via email, and we’ll cover the return shipping. Once we receive your cards, they’ll be shredded and professionally recycled. This program helps close the loop on plastic waste and contributes to the production of more 99-100% Recycled PVC cards.
